The DEBM at UVAS is its faculty and students, helped by a fine administrative staff. It is also its resources, reputation, institutional arrangements and the services it provides, although all the latter come as an afterthought. Consequently, this web page will be devoted to describing in different ways who are the Department faculty and students, and what they are up to. And will also let you know about the rest.

It sounds trite, but it is nevertheless true that the Department has made focussed efforts to become one of the leading source of information for business graduates. MBA Life Sciences is a unique program which is initiated by DEBM at UVAS first time in the history of Pakistan. Department is offering not only tracks of Life Sciences but also Finance, Marketing and HRM which makes this program more absorbing. Every year over 100 new students enroll in DEBM, creating a truly diversified atmosphere. After completing their degrees alumni will pursue diverse careers all over the world.

We used to say that the DEBM is a new department at UVAS, but we believe that the department has reached, in its faculty size, a steady state. Being a department of economics and business it is fairly large and heterogeneous, including many part-time instructors.  Hiring and promotion is done in competition with the best, according to the rules and procedures implemented in the more reputed departments in the world.
